Minda Liles “MiMi” Jeziorski, 91, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at The Laurels of Forest Glen. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Pell D. Liles and Rita Green Liles. After marrying her husband, Walter, they traveled for 28 years to places such as Germany and France, as he served as a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army. Upon Walter’s retirement, they settled in Garner where they started a family and raised their daughter, Suzette. She loved cooking and her dog, Cocoa, which she bought for her granddaughter, Amber, but her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to her two grandchildren, Amber and Alex. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Survivors include her daughter, Suzette Christmas and husband, James of Raleigh; granddaughter, Amber Christmas of Wilmington and grandson, Alex Christmas of the home; sisters, Rita Ford of Wake Forest, Dipsy Stokes of Selma, Alice Dean of Garner and Audrey Hood of Selma; brother, Warren Liles of Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, to protect her grandson and all players, memorial donations may be made to MCHS Football Fund for Protective Gear, 123 Middle Creek Park Ave., Apex, NC 27539.
