Johnston County Arts Council announces 4th Annual “Scramble for the Arts” Golf Tournament
Scheduled for Friday, March 26th, the Johnston County Arts Council’s 4th Annual Scramble for the Arts golf tournament will be held at the beautiful Johnston County Country Club in Smithfield. Ladies and gentlemen will enjoy a day of golf, food, fun, and fellowship. Check in will begin at 11:45 AM followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 PM.
The Scramble for the Arts golf tournament is one of just two fund raising events sponsored annually by the Johnston County Arts Council. Money raised through this golf tournament will go to support the various programs of the Johnston County Arts Council including: Artists-in-the-Schools, Grassroots Arts Program, Regional Artists Program, and Johnston Community College Scholarships. The entry fee is $60.00 per player.
The format will be a four ball scramble-Captains choice. The $60 entry fee will include green fees, cart, practice balls, a 50/50 drawing ticket, door prize ticket, putting contest, hospitality bag and a meal during the award ceremony at the end of the tournament. The deadline to enter the golf tournament is Monday, March 22nd.
As March 26th is a Teacher’s Workday, a special invitation has been extended to teachers and all Johnston County Schools (JCS) employees. JCS employees may play at a reduced cost, $50.00.
Those individuals playing in the Scramble for the Arts will have the opportunity to participate in several contests throughout the tournament, including putting contest and a hole-in-one contest.
