Sara Lee Mann, formerly of Raleigh and Lillington, passed away Monday at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC.

Sara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Milton Mann and her parents William H. “Bill” and Katherine Lee of Lillington.



She is survived by

her son, Michael Mann and wife, Christine Carroll of Morehead City;

her daughter, Kathy Strickland and husband, Larry of Lexington;

her sisters, Melva Fraley of Greensboro and Anne Friend of Palm Desert, California;

and her brother, Charles Lee and wife, Melrose of Lillington.

Also surviving are her grandsons, Andrew Strickland; Roger Strickland and wife, Crystal and their sons, Jacob and Christopher;

sister-in-law, Becky Mann of Lillington;

bother-in-law, Rex Mann and wife, Carol of Sanford

and many nieces and nephews.

Following a private family graveside service, a memorial service to celebrate Sara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009, at the Lillington Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William Goodnight officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Lillington Presbyterian Church, 1101 S. 8th Street, Lillington NC 27546 or to Hinkle Hospice House, P.O. 1941, Lexington, NC 27293.
