Lurin Summer Jones of Fuquay-Varina and Justin Daniel Carlin of Springfield, Mo., are engaged to be married on October 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. on Carolina Beach. Lurin is the daughter of Ricky Jones and Doreen Dean of Fuquay-Varina. She is a nurse at Duke Hospital. Justin is the son of Jerry and Donna Carlin of Springfield, Mo., and serves in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg. The couple will make their home in Cary.
